We are able to advise employees on all of the employment rights and contractual issues connected with their employment. This, extends to the rights that all employees receive from day one, including discrimination rights, maternity and paternity rights and matters relating to their Contract of Employment.

In respect of Contracts of Employment, we can advise senior employees on the terms proposed to them in respect of their employment as well as advice to all employees concerning termination issues relating to their employment and Employment Contract. In addition, provided employees have one year’s service, they qualify for the right to claim Unfair Dismissal and, their employer must dismiss them for a fair reason. We can advise on the possibility of an Unfair Dismissal claim and issuing such a claim in the Employment Tribunal, including running such a claim to conclusion. Employment Tribunal claims also apply in respect of discrimination issues such as sex, race, sexual orientation and age and we can also advise on these from beginning to end including representation at the tribunal hearing.

In addition, many employees are currently finding themselves in difficulties with their employers due to the current economic climate. We can advise on the fairness of any redundancy process and what entitlements employees may have, including negotiating further entitlements. Any entitlements are often paid out under a Compromise Agreement and we can negotiate these terms on your behalf, with your employer often paying legal fees on conclusion of such Compromise Agreement
