Regulated
The Care Quality Commission is the independent regulator of health and social care in England. We regulate care provided by the NHS, local authorities, private companies and voluntary organisations. We aim to make sure better care is provided for everyone - in hospitals, care homes and people's own homes. We also seek to protect the interests of people whose rights are restricted under the Mental Health Act. United Kingdom Home Care Association Ltd (UKHCA) is the professional association of home care providers from the independent, voluntary, not-for-profit and statutory sectors. UKHCA helps organisations that provide social care to promote high standards of care and provides representation with national and regional policy-makers and regulators. We are members of the UKHCA and adhere to its high standards. The CRB helps organisations to perform better by screening out candidates who may be unsuitable for certain kinds of work. In doing this it particularly helps to provide protection for children and other vulnerable members of society. All staff are checked against the Criminal Records Bureau.
