This course is to give confidence to the ‘competent’ person within any organisation to carry out manual handling risk assessments. These may be in kitchen, domestic or laundry areas or they may be in the more complex field of people handling. This course will enable staff to carry out these assessments and create handling plans for care staff to follow successfully. All service users require a detailed handling plan, which must be written by a ‘competent’ person. Practical skills are also demonstrated and practised to a high skill level.
