DEBT RECOVERY SOFTWARE

The usual approach for a company interested in collection or dispute management software is to search directories and the web to find the companies offering software and then make contact with those felt to be most suitable. Suddenly, a horde of eager salesmen descends on you with scant regard for your requirements - they have a product to sell and you are a hot lead!

It can be different! CPL has extensive involvement with many of the software packages and installations both here in the UK and throughout Europe. We know how to evaluate your requirements, assess and advise on budgets and establish what the key purchasing criteria will be. A short-list of suitable suppliers can then be presented together with ballpark figures - at this stage you won’t even have had to meet them!

When it is time to progress to the next stage of the evaluation, CPL will manage the process with you to ensure that you are not just being told what you want to hear and none of the downsides. Site visits or mystery-shopping surveys can be undertaken to help you assess the true level of support and stability that will be provided. Once you are at quotation stage guidance will be offered to ensure that key elements are not being excluded in order to meet your "budget" figure. Contracts aren’t always straightforward with software vendors so we will provide assistance throughout the negotiations.

Consider carefully whether you have sufficient manpower to manage the installation and conversion project - if not, CPL can provide you with an Project Manager to see the installation through to a successful conclusion.

Our fees to the buyer for these services are normally a mixture of consultancy charges and interim management fees. The successful software company may also contribute to our costs.

When you have a small ledger [under 2,000 accounts] and need less than 6 users we can offer you a tailor-made database using the award winning ACT! software. We use this internally for our own Debt Recovery operations and find it extremely versatile. Costs start at around £4,600 for up to 5 users. See a screenshot

As ledgers and the numbers of users grow, you will need a bigger investment and this is were our strategic alliance with Linetime will give you the opportunity to scale up for high volumes. A full explanation of the Linetime agreement and product can be found HERE
